Voteto enter into contract with Tri-County Contractor Supplies, under Statecontract, to purchase a newroadside mower in the amount of $120,000.00 with funds to be appropriated asfollows: $30,000from water certified retained earnings; $24,000 from sewer certified retainedearnings and theremaining $66,000 from certified Free Cash. (Note: Voted unanimously at DPWsubcommittee heldOctober 9, 2012).
15. Voteto appropriate $14,849.00 from certified Free Cash to purchase new duty weaponsand holsters for thePolice Department. The balance of $10,000.00 to be funded from the State LawEnforcement TrustFund.
16. Voteto approve in part the School Committee’s request of September 11, 2012 forsupplemental funds inthe amount of $98,494.35 broken down to $32,127.00 as an appropriation fromcertified FreeCash to the School Department FY13 budget for switches and wall plates andfurther appropriate$66,367.35 from certified Free Cash to the FY 2013 school capital account forthe purchaseof soccer goals, tractor, 4x4 lawn care vehicle and scoreboards at the newMiddle/High School.(Note: Voted unanimously at EHS subcommittee on October 10, 2012).
17. Voteto appropriate $23,500.00 from certified Free Cash for the purchase of remotecameras to be deployed at the athletic fields to the new Middle High School andnecessary monitors for said cameras to be installed at Police Dispatch. (Note:Voted unanimously at PPP subcommittee on October 9, 2012.)
18. Voteto appropriate $55,756.18 from certified Free Cash for the purchase ofradio/cell tower equipment for enhanced radio coverage throughout the Town.
19. Voteto ratify the contract between the Town of Southbridge and the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts to transfer of FY2013 Local Cultural Council Funds from theMassachusetts Cultural Council in the amount of $8,100.00 covering the dates ofservice July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
20. Voteto ratify the contracts for Health Insurance renewals for two (2) Blue CrossBlue Shield and Fallon Senior Plan effective January 1, 2013, pursuant to theTreasurer’s memo dated November 2, 2012.
21. Voteto appropriate $10,921.96 from Overlay Surplus to Account #001.0945.5787,Interest on Abatements, to refund interest for a Fiscal Year 2009 PersonalProperty Tax Abatement.
22. Voteto transfer $100,000.00 from Receipts Reserved Insurance in Excess of$20,000.00 account to the Tornado Damage account to extend the newlyconstructed water line of Commercial Drive to the airport site to providedrinking water and water to the fire hydrants for firefighting capabilities andto pay all vendors related to this project.
23. Vote to ratify the IFE for the review of Phase-2Airport Re-build to URS in the amount of $1,200.00 as summarized on Exhibit A andto transfer $1,200.00 from Receipts Reserved Insurance Excess of $20,000.00account to the Tornado Damage account.
24. Voteto appropriate $15,000.00 from certified free cash to account #1.190.5700.0.746 Reserve for Property Repair, Maintenance and Demolition tofund the Town Hall office renovations as approved at the October24, 2012 TownCouncil Meeting.
25. Voteto approve that the Fire Department issue a permit for a pre-ThanksgivingFootball Game bonfire according to MGL 111 Section 142H on Wednesday, November21, 2012, 6:00 PM at McMahon Field.
